Politico ranks Missouri #6 among the top US Senate Races this year. Here the summary of the race in the last month according to them:
“Fourteen months after she was forced to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes on her private plane, Sen. Claire McCaskill found herself ensnared in another tax lapse. The Kansas City Star reported she was late paying property taxes on her Washington, D.C., condominium — a head-shaking oversight that only begs the question: What else might come back to bite the first-term Democrat? On the brighter side for McCaskill, Republicans Sarah Steelman, John Brunner and Rep. Todd Akin are beating each other up on gay marriage, tort reform and earmarks. And their rhetoric is becoming more bellicose, with a smiling Steelman telling a supporter she’s ready to “punch Claire McCaskill out.”
The latest Public Policy Polling numbers are good news for Brunner, who is finally seeing a return on the millions of personal money he’s invested in the race.”
