Missouri Democratic incumbent Governor, Jay Nixon picked up a distinctive endorsement today.
The Missouri Soybean Association.
It is thought to be the first time the soybean growers have endorsed a Democrat for governor.
“From day one, Gov. Jay Nixon has worked with soybean farmers and the entire agriculture community to help us sell more products, create more jobs and be more competitive in the world market. The Governor brings Democrats and Republicans together to balance the budget without raising taxes, which creates a better business climate for all of us,” said Dale Ludwig, Executive Director and CEO of the Missouri Soybean Association said in a news release.
This is also the first endorsement the Nixon re-election campaign has rolled out.
