As you can imagine, security is pretty tight in a convention city. The Secret Service gives it a top classification as far as events they have to work. As you may be able to tell, the picture here has a greenish cast to it.
That’s because it’s taken on the top deck of a parking garage in downtown Charlotte.
A little before 10pm Sunday night, a security guard approached us as we were finishing out editing for the late newscast. He said he wanted to be sure we weren’t “bloggers or something”. Partner Laz “Hey Cameraman” Abalos and I said we were a TV crew. That’s all. The the security guard said, ” Og, you’re Channel9! OK.”
Then he left us one.
