Obama Launches Attack on Romney’s Business Record Using Failed Kansas City Steel Plant

President Obama’s re-election campaign is rolling out an attack on rival Mitt Romney using the former GST plant in Kansas City.
Romney’s firm bought the company in 1993. The company closed down, filing for bankruptcy in 2001.
Obama’s campaign cites the GST Steel plant episode as an example of Romney’s concentration on profit at the expense of the middle class.
The GST failure was the exception rather than the rule for Bain. 3 out of 4 of their companies they bought into succeeded after the take-over.
Here’s a is a campaign video on the issue.
The Obama campaign will also broadcast a commercial on the subject in battleground states. No time has been purchased for it in Missouri.
