The Kansas City Election Board says they expect about 460 ballots to be cast by today’s deadline on Kansas City’s street car vote. (Update final total,474)
Voters in the area along the two-mile line have until 5pm Tuesday to turn in their ballots.
KC Election Board Commissioner Shawn Kieffer says he expects a total of about 460 ballots to be cast.
The mail-in vote is the first step in the city’s bid to get a small street car line established between the River Market and Union Station.
The street car measure suffered a setback several weeks ago when the city did not get a federal transportation grant to help pay for the $100 million project.
Kieffer says the Election Board expects to count the ballots Wednesday afternoon and announce the results.
so 474 ballots cast .. what was the result??
