Glover Asks for KC Recount

Incumbent Kansas City, Missouri City Council member Jim Glover has officially asked for a recount.

Returns showed the veteran Second District At-Large City Council member losing the June 23 election to Katheryn Shields by 132 votes.

The slim margin is within the 1% threshold required to ask for a recount.
Glover is hoping for second consecutive term to the council.

He had previously served at City Hall before. After sitting out a term, because of term limits, he was re-elected.

Shields is also a former member of the City Council.

She also served three four-year terms as Jackson County Executive the top executive office in the county.
