President Obama will speak on the campus of KU Thursday at 11am.
The speech will be a follow up to his State if the Union Speech Tuesday night.
Obama was scheduled to visit the KU campus in2013, but the trip was canceled at the last minute.
Here is the White House news release on obtaining tickets for the event:
“President Obama’s remarks at University of Kansas are free and open to the public. Tickets are required and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be limited to one ticket per person. Due to limited space, the White House will only be able to distribute a limited number of tickets.

Parking and Shuttling: Parking is not available in the lots around Anschutz Sports Pavilion, except for a limited number of handicapped spots. Guests should park in Lots 301 and 302, which are accessible via Crestline Drive and 23rd Street. From those lots, shuttles will be provided to Anschutz Sports Pavilion.
Tickets are required for entry. Tickets are not for sale or re-sale. For security reasons, please do not bring bags and limit personal items. No signs or banners are permitted. All attendees will go through airport-like security. No overnight camping will be allowed on the premises at any time leading up to this event”
