KC Political Consultant Pat Gray Dies

Kansas City political consultant Pat Gray has died.
He was 69.
For decades, Gray was one of the go-to political players in the Kansas City area.
He worked on some issues that helped define modern kansas City, the approval of the Sprint Center arena is an example.
He was also key in defeating some issues in other elections supported by the political establishment.
His hard charging style endeared him to some and infuriated others.
Few, however doubted his effectiveness in running many aspects of a political campaign; from candidate management, polling and advertising.
At a gathering of political professionals just before a recent election Gray was designated by his friends as ”The Prince of Darkness.
