Gallup Says Missouri More Conservative Than Kansas

When it comers to conservative American politics, the Gallup Poll says Missouri makes the top twenty. Barely.

Kansas misses the top twenty. Barely.

The Gallup Poll says Missouri  ranks 18th in the list of most conservative states.  43%  of Show Me folks in the poll told Gallup they consider themselves conservatives. 17% say they’re liberal. 36% consider themselves independent.

Kansas is 23rd. Their  Conservative number  is 41%. 17% Liberal. 39% independent.

The most conservative state, according to the poll, is  Wyoming. The least conservative is Rhode Island,  29%.

More than half of the residents of Wyoming (53%), Mississippi (53%), and Utah (51%) identified as conservative during the first half of 2010, making these the most conservative states in the U.S. The District of Columbia and four New England states had the highest percentage of liberals.
